    Finance, Risk Administration, Risk Department COO Team, Analyst

    Chief Operating Officer Team, Risk Division This group was formed in 2015 to provide better pan-Risk strategic thought, communication and coordination of efforts across the 1,200-person Risk Division. Functions include: business planning, budgeting, risk governance, risk appetite, board-level risk reporting, and business continuity.

     

    The Analyst will be part of a team working with the Chief Operating Officers of the Risk Division in support of the firm's Chief Risk Officer (CRO) across a wide range of responsibilities across Goldman Sachs Group.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Responsibilities 

    • Work as part of an integrated team that supports the COO’s of the Risk Division including the ability to excel as part of small project teams and interact directly with the most senior members of the division
    • Support and drive projects and deliverables for a wide range of initiatives, including creating presentations for senior internal audiences and for external parties 
    • Team members need to be able to understand, summarize and communicate information succinctly in both written and verbal presentations
    • Upon joining the group, candidates can expect a challenging, fast-paced environment that will require the ability to focus on and deliver multiple projects effectively over various timelines
    • Manage the compilation and production of risk management sections of senior management and board reporting, to include proof reading

    Qualifications

    • 1+ years of experience
    • Resourceful, self-starter, with excellent analytical, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
    • Detail-orientation, with outstanding organizational and follow-up skills
    • Strong work ethic 
    • Significant experience in drafting and editing presentations (and Word documents)
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team oriented environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
