Are you looking for the opportunity to drive and lead projects in a dynamic and growing part of the Firm?  We are looking for a professional to join the team that is responsible for supporting management of Goldman Sachs Bank USA (the “Bank”) as the Bank enters new and different lines of business.

The Bank offers a wide range of solutions to help our clients meet their financial goals.  Our services include: deposit taking, consumer lending, corporate lending and risk management, transacting in derivatives and community lending.

 

The Bank management team is responsible for ensuring the effective operation and administration of the Bank.  The management team supports senior Bank management and performs various functions that are fundamental to maintaining a strong control structure for the Bank.  The team executes on various initiatives that accommodate and support growth in the Bank.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Lead and drive projects and deliverables for a wide range of initiatives, including projects that facilitate growth in the Bank
  • Drive the Bank’s communication strategy, including by setting agenda’s for regular townhalls, creating internal and external website content, drafting content for regular Bank CEO and CFO communications and preparation of weekly reporting for Bank management
  • Key liaison on matters relating to the Bank’s Board of Directors, including agenda setting, preparation of Board materials, drafting of Bank CEO talking points and coordination of agendas with various Bank committees
  • Manage the Bank’s relationship with key regulators, including coordinating Bank response to various regulatory exams, tracking commitments made to regulators to ensure compliance and setting agendas for regular meetings with regulators
  • Oversee, implement, and maintain the framework for determining who needs to have an employment relationship with the Bank, ensuring those employees are adequately supervised on behalf of the Bank
  • Ensure governance structure for the Bank is appropriate, including that Bank committees have proper mandates and membership and setting agendas for certain key Bank committees that include senior members of Bank management
  • Manage components of the Bank’s Business Continuity Planning process, the allocation of the Bank’s physical space, and in conjunction with Bank Compliance, the implementation of certain policies applicable to the Bank
  • Work closely on GS’ global Bank strategy for the firm’s international banks, coordinating with different internal stakeholders across regions and departments

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and effectively prioritize tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized, attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Resourceful, self-starter, with strong analytical, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to take initiative on unstructured assignments
  • Collaborative, team based individual who others enjoy working with and is able to coach and develop junior staff
