YOUR IMPACT

 

Mid to senior level engineer within the Deploy and Run Platform business unit will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing complete infrastructure solutions from scratch. You’ll be working within a global team on cutting edge hardware, operating systems, Hypervisors, Linux containers, networks and storage to build out our next generation computing solution.  This is a hands-on role with an emphasis on automating the complete infrastructure from scratch.  We are looking for a result oriented, self-starter who will be able to dive deep into problems and think outside of the box to create production ready solutions.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Develop a new firm capability to perform damage assessment and recover from a malicious attack
  • Identify, aggregate and extend function checklists to improve BAU and emergency assessment capabilities
  • Devise a reporting framework and language for communicating the extent of widespread issues efficiently
  • Summarize outage scenarios and scopes to strategize on recovery options, priorities and recovery times
  • Anticipate and address emergency communications challenges
  • Identify critical issues and recommend resiliency and recovery-time improvements

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 15+ years of diverse professional experience with large institution infrastructure and application teams
  • Significant exposure to critical infrastructure (e.g., Networking, Routing, Active Directory, Storage), global data center operations and virtualization technologies
  • Experience authoring, publishing and refining complex and multi-layered procedures (e.g., complex multi-site releases, migrations and/or resiliency tests)
  • Proven people skills, including experience:
    • Soliciting information from overstretched, defensive and/or hostile staff without offending them
    • Navigating global time zone, cultural, operational and regulatory differences
    • Incorporating diverse opinions and vantage points
    • Summarizing and abstracting complex materials for senior management review

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific experience designing and implementing infrastructure resiliency improvements
  • Global operations management
  • Experience with virtual technologies (e.g., public cloud products, hypervisors, virtual machines, key management, routing).
  • Experience developing and fielding RFPs.
