Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)


Duties: Associate-Intermediate, VP with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Develop, enhance and manage applications in the Operations Engineering division. Responsible for high availability mission critical ledger applications to users across the firm. Manage software and lead developers on ledgers platform to support business and operations users. Gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans. Develop, prototype and test multi-tier enterprise applications (GUI as well as server) using Java, J2EE, Spring and IBM DB2/Sybase ASE. Responsible for development projects or multiple modules within larger, complex projects. Participate on all aspects of the software development life cycle (“SDLC”) including design, development, requirements gathering and testing.


Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field. Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have seven (7) years of experience in a technical role that supports Financial Markets. Must have seven (7) years experience with: Full SDLC, including analysis, design, development, code management and testing; Object-Oriented Design and Analysis; Java and RDBMS (Sybase and DB2) in a UNIX environment; with extensive database performance tuning skills; working concurrently on multiple development projects; developing scalable systems and working in an enterprise environment; independently developing software code in a fast-paced, corporate environment; working across a global team and communicating effectively across regions; and problem-solving in a development or production environment, including experience observing patterns, analyzing root cause and suggesting ideas to resolve issues.
