Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Develop and maintain new and existing applications used by Financing Group Bankers and Investment Banking Division (IBD) Operations globally using following technologies: Java/J2EE, Angular JS, Spring, Hibernate, Node js; Tableau, Business Objects; the Firm’s proprietary languages; open-source applications and frameworks, including Apache Tomcat, Maven, Log4J, and JMeter; database development using Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ, MS SQL Server, and Mongo; development of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) applications leveraging Scala & Spark; web services, including REST and SOAP; use source control management systems (Subversion), Build Systems (Maven, Gradle), Code Quality (Sonar), Artifact Repository Manager (Maven), Continuous Integration (Jenkins). Engage in Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for development and project plan estimates, including experience gathering requirements, designing, developing, reviewing, building, testing and deployment of commercial scale software changes. Create new Business Intelligence reports and tools to improve data quality. Build and maintain data source to perform various analytics. Analyze new tools and technologies for proof of concept, and come up with recommendation. Interface and communicate with internal stakeholders for requirements discussion, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and live deal support. Participate in monthly release by getting involved in deployment and post release check-outs.

 

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer/Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer/Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience (if possess Master’s) or five (5) years of experience (if possess Bachelor’s) with: programming in object oriented language such as Java/J2EE; working with web/application servers, such as Tomcat; programming with web development technologies, such as HTML, JSP, JavaScript, XML, JSON; programming with Structured Query Language; working on multi-tiered web applications, including experience with application architectures and integration between different applications. Must have two (2) years of experience with: programming with open source frameworks, such as Spring, Hibernate; working with REST & SOAP based services; understanding of design patterns and experience in designing software modules; Operating Systems, such as Linux and Windows; implementing ETL to integrate data from multiple sources; source control management systems (e.g. Subversion), Build Systems (e.g. Maven, Gradle), Code Quality (e.g. Sonar), Artifact Repository Manager (e.g. Maven) and Continuous Integration (e.g. Jenkins); test driven development; the full SDLC lifecycle, including experience in eliciting end-user/business requirements and converting the requirements into technical solutions; troubleshooting and solving issues with existing application; working with a global development team and communicating status across team; exposure to data warehouse and analytics appliances, such as Netezza database or Sybase IQ.
