Digital Finance Description

Digital Finance, a subdivision of CCBD, is composed of the firm’s digitally-led consumer businesses which include the global online consumer deposits business and the US online consumer lending business, the firm’s first-ever direct-to-consumer platform built from the ground up. Digital Finance combines the strength and heritage of a 147-year-old financial institution with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. This unique dynamic allows us to help our customers achieve financial progress through customizable solutions that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity.


We are seeking an experienced business risk executive to design, deliver, and manage our business risk office within the Consumer Digital Finance team.  Candidates must have direct experience in management of a consumer business risk office (first line of defense) including experience designing and implementing first line quality programs, responding to second and third line observations and findings, and the management of regulatory exams.  Candidates must have extensive experience in consumer lending business risk, broad based knowledge of consumer regulatory requirements, and experience working with second line risk management teams including legal, compliance, operational risk, credit risk, and financial crime teams.  Ideal candidates will have experience with leading teams responsible for ongoing business risk functions including Risk and Control Self Assessments, Sarbanes Oxley Certifications, Complaint Management, Issue Management, Risk Event Management, Change Management, New Product Risk Assessments,  and Line of Defense Testing as well as Audit and Exam Management.  Expertise in delivery of analytically driven risk management programs that improve customer experience and reduce reputational risk is required for success. 




  • Relevant industry expertise in a portfolio of large scale accounts
  • 10+ years experience with direct management of business risk office or related functions in a consumer lending business
  • Broad based knowledge of all aspects of business risk management and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership as well as junior contact center agents
  • Ability to establish and maintain a culture of risk management and compliance while delivering a world class customer experience
