Associate-Trading with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY.

 

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Associate-Trading with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Make markets and risk-manage positions on a wide range of exotic (non-standard) derivative contracts. Conduct detailed, in-depth quantitative analysis of new and existing positions for the purpose of pricing and risk management. Identify business opportunities, across new products and/or trading strategies, to be sold to clients. Liaise with the strategists teams to develop, price and design hedging strategies for new exotics payoffs to trade with the franchise. Work with the strategist teams to enhance and improve risk management tools. Circulate topical trading ideas to the franchise. Meet with clients on a regular basis, to share ideas, explain new products and trade opportunities. Monitor and trade the portfolio on a daily basis.

 

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in an analytical field including Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Physics. Two and a half (2.5) years of experience in the job offered or in pricing and risk management. Prior work experience must include: trading experience focused on equity derivative markets and notably dispersion trading; making-market, autonomously, on a wide range of exotic contracts; ability to hedge and risk-manage an exotic portfolio, on an autonomous basis; providing detailed feedback and analysis about client trading activities, new trading opportunities, and the performance of a trading book to senior management; providing market color and trade ideas to clients as well as sales and structuring team. FINRA Series 7, 55, and 63 licenses required.
