Realty Management Division – US Real Estate Analyst


The Realty Management Division (RMD) plays an integral role in supporting the firm’s real estate investing strategy by providing investment and asset management services.  US Real Estate is a team within RMD that provides services to the firm’s investing divisions such as sourcing, underwriting, asset management, financing, portfolio management, and construction oversight across various asset types including office, multifamily and hotel. 


Goldman Sachs & Co, located in Dallas, TX seeks a Portfolio Management Analyst within RMD US Real Estate to support the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Division Private Real Estate (PRE) team that manages two US open-ended Core / Core Plus funds and Value Add Separate Accounts with institutional investors.


This role will support investment and fund level reporting, valuations, business plans, fund and investment liquidity and investor level reporting. 



  • Input, run and analyze business plan models for determination of quarterly and semi-annual valuations and performance.
  • Interface with business units on frequent basis to discuss investment performance and manage business issues
  • Coordinate quarterly and semi-annual business plan and valuation process for GSAM PRE and reporting results to the business unit and Controllers
  • Calculate and analyze performance returns on a quarterly basis and oversee the reporting of specific returns to a third party for composite tracking
  • Support ongoing fund and investment level reporting and ad hoc reporting for GSAM PRE team


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university
  • 1 -2 years of experience in real estate portfolios, with preference for previous portfolio management experience
  • Valuation/modeling experience, preferably in real estate
  • Understanding of financial statements and basic accounting concepts
  • Familiar working with big data; SQL skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Strong project management skills
