    Are you looking to be involved in building solutions for strategic global projects and developing an expertise in decision modeling? The Bank Controls and Infrastructure team in Finance is seeking a Business Decision Modeling (BDM) Associate who will collaborate with Business, Operations and Technology partners to generate requirements and implement logical models for business rules. The Decision Modeler will help enhance the Finance Division’s ability to drive continuous improvement through excellence in business decision design, methodology and implementation. As an Associate, you will contribute as a Decision Modeler and additionally by helping Analysts achieve their fullest potential.


    • Collaborate with subject matter experts across divisions of the firm, including Operations, Technology, and Business divisions, to articulate business requirements including business rules, data models, decision requirements, etc., in order to build complex solutions while balancing competing priorities.
    • Create Decision models based on decision requirements and serve as the division’s Business Decision Modelling subject matter expert.
      • Pool resources with Bank Control and Infrastructure experts to understand and map out the decision requirements for strategic global projects.
      • You will be required to convert these business rules into Business Decision Models (BDMs) and Decision Requirements Models (DRMs using various systems (‘Signavio’ for example).
      • To create above models it will require deep knowledge of the Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) and Decision Modeling and Notation (DMN) standards.
      • You will then work with technology teams across the firm to apply these models into automated systems.
    • Test Decision models based on decision requirements
      • Upon creating the afore-mentioned decision models, you will also test the validity of the logic in the business rules by using live data.
      • This testing involves all permutations and combinations of test scenarios for a business rule because it is crucial to ensure the validity of the models.
    • Conduct business analysis by utilizing Business Decision Modelling to create and test decision models based on decision requirements, with an aim of actively improving processes, reducing risk, increasing productivity, and lowering costs.  
      • This involves observing closely, trends and patterns in different models to advice on technical improvements to the process of modeling and testing.
      • The Beneficiary will perform detailed analysis on modeling/testing methods along with root cause analysis and resolution of system exceptions.
    • Support ad hoc and sometimes urgent Business requests to update models to enable trade facilitation
      • Problem solving, using creative resolutions
      • Quick turnaround to update, test and release models into production partnering with Technology



    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ year’s work experience in business analysis or business process design
    • Analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong problem solving skills
    • Ability to autonomously manage several projects/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to communicate clearly with end users, development managers and other stakeholders
    • Must be highly collaborative and enjoy and perform well in a consensus-driven, team environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Programming experience
    • Experience with Decision Modeling software (Sapiens Decision, Signavio, BlazeAdvisor, BizzDesign, etc.)
    • Experience in Financial Services Operations, process improvement or other relevant field. Knowledge of OTC derivatives a plus.
    • Knowledge of BPMN 2.0, DMN
    • Familiarity with Agile project management
    • Working knowledge of backlog management tools (JIRA)
    • Understanding of relational database design/data modeling
    • Experience using data management tools (Alteryx) or data presentation tools (Tableau)
