Associate-Intermediate-Finance/VP with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY.


Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)


Duties:  Associate-Intermediate-Finance/VP with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Lead execution of transactions (generally in excess of $500 million) in the industrials sector across a wide range of products including M&A sell- and buy-side (both domestic and cross-border), equity, anti-raid, debt (investment grade and high-yield), private placement and other capital markets transactions. Build, nurture and strengthen relationships with private equity funds and corporate clients within the industrials sector. Negotiate non-disclosure agreements, M&A merger contracts, financing and commitment term sheets as well as other legal documentation in the context of advisory and capital market transactions within the industrials sector. Lead and coordinate drafting of deal-related documents including information memoranda, lender and rating agency presentations, accounting supplements and internal capital / commitment committee memoranda. Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts including liaising with lawyers, accountants and other financial advisors to facilitate transactions within the industrials sector. Build and review valuation analyses for industrials companies including operating models, discounted cash flow, leverage buyout, ability-to-pay, merger plans, and accretion / dilution. Supervise and organize the work of junior investment banking professionals while coordinating with senior bankers and various product experts throughout the firm. Recruit, mentor and train Analysts and Associates.


Job Requirements: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field. 2.5 years of experience with Master’s or 5.5 years of experience with Bachelor’s in the job offered or related investment banking position. Prior work experience must include: Executing public mergers and acquisitions transactions in excess of $1 billion; Leading large scale transaction executions such as public/private mergers and acquisitions, refinancing, capital raise, anti-raid defense in the industrials sector; Utilizing knowledge of industry dynamics, analytical methodologies, relevant metrics and comparable companies across the industrials sector; Preparing presentations, marketing materials and offering memoranda for client activity connected to investment advisory services in the industrials sector, including M&A, anti-raid advisory equity, debt financing and derivative transactions; Coordinating with lawyers, accountants, and other financial / strategic advisors to facilitate M&A and capital market transactions within the industrials sector; Using corporate finance concepts and accounting rules / standards to develop and review valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading comparables, and precedent transactions for companies in the industrials sector; Presenting to client senior executives and Board of Directors of public and private companies; Using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, including detailed logic and finance formulae, data tables, filters, pivot table to reference / analyze large quantities of data and facilitate financial modeling; Developing and nurturing relationship with corporate and private equity clients in the industrials sector; Leading, managing, mentoring and training multiple teams of professionals engaged in investment banking.
