    The Institutional Lending Group (“ILG”) is looking to hire an analyst to join its growing Private Credit Management Group.  The ILG Private Credit Management Group is responsible for managing the credit positions within the ILG portfolio, with a primary focus on underwriting and monitoring private corporate credits that collateralize the Secured Funding Facilities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • General underwriting and portfolio management of corporate debt and equity investments, with a focus on middle market lending across multiple industries.
    • Evaluate investments via offering memorandum review, industry research, financial modeling, financial statement review, etc.
    • Interface directly with the top private credit funds, third party consultants, and other professionals within Goldman Sachs during deal evaluation and monitoring process.
    • Prepare tear sheets for private credits and present materials to weekly Working Group.
    • Perform ongoing due diligence and monitor portfolio companies and communicate updates to the investment committee (orally and in writing)
    • Recommend and justify the Risk Classification assigned to the credit.
    • Provide assistance to senior portfolio managers with assigned investments.
    • Utilize firm’s proprietary software tools for credit metrics tracking.
    • Conduct data analysis through large data-sets and organize the results in a sensible way.
    • Support potential restructurings with detailed Excel financial models including cash flow analysis.
    • Analyze portfolio trends, market leverage and price development.
    • Perform all of other duties as assigned; additional duties include providing direct support as deemed necessary by senior management.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Up to 2 years of relevant accounting or leveraged lending experience.
    • Proven background in the analysis and management of complex financial statements.
    • Self-motivated and driven; ability to work effectively in a collegial, fast moving, and dynamic environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with reputation for integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
    • Creative problem solver.
    • Advanced MS Excel modelling skills.
