    REALTY MANAGEMENT

     

    The Realty Management Division (RMD) plays an integral role in supporting the firm’s real estate investing strategy by providing investment and asset management services globally in the real estate market, partnering with other divisions in the firm to deliver results wherever Goldman Sachs has an interest. RMD serves as an extension to revenue divisions by providing services such as sourcing, acquisition, underwriting and due diligence of distressed and performing real estate and loan assets, asset management, portfolio management and disposition across various property types including office, multi-family, retail and hotel. Our division also manages residential loan portfolios and warehouse repo lines across auto, student, and consumer asset classes while providing structure, pricing and collateral analysis support.     RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Role Overview

     

    An analyst/associate within the Analytics group will be expected to use an analytical approach to improve processes and provide useful reporting and insights within the Residential Mortgage Asset Management.  The Analytics team is responsible for sourcing and validating data, creating and maintaining a reporting environment in SQL and continuing the build out of a report inventory that includes controls, SLA, production, pipeline and trending reports.  A successful candidate will be comfortable interacting with multiple lines of business and managing their time between projects.  This analyst/associate will be expected to drive data and reporting projects to completion coordinating with technology, data management, operational and executive stakeholders.  Candidates will need to take high-level problems and solve them down to the most granular level. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with multiple business lines to understand and meet their information needs
    • Conceptualize thoughtful summary and detail reporting that will add value to executive, management and line level business partners
    • Continue build out of timely and accurate operational reports used to manage business day to day, as well as trending and performance analysis over time
    • Translate information needs into project plans to source raw data from external parties, model data and condense into useful insights
    • Recognize and research trends, irregularities and inconsistencies in data and reporting

    Qualifications

    • Strong academic background - 4 year related business, informational systems, math, or accounting degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
    • Experience in a data, analytics and / or reporting role.
    • Mortgage banking, Real Estate or other financial industry experience preferred.
    • Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationships.
    • Proficient in SQL and relational databases.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience developing in Tableau, Cognos or SSRS or other report automation software a plus
    • Team player
    • Able to work under tight time constraints and extended hours as required.
