    Your Impact

    As the leader of this team, you will be supporting all of the Marcus US Deposits Risk Management and Control Functions, interfacing with other functions leaders, supporting the business. You will be playing a vital role in managing first line of defense, operational risk and business controls.



    You will be responsible for overseeing the teams responsible for:

    • Change management/policies and procedures
    • Process engineers/six sigma quality/Process improvement
    • QA testing and monitoring

    Furthermore, you will:

    • Work across US deposits and will support the online function from a risk and controls perspective
    • Establish and maintain a qualitative/quantitative business level operational risk appetite/tolerance with associated metrics, monitoring, triggers, escalation and mitigating actions
    • Implement, owns and manages the Operational Risk Management (ORM) Framework, including Risk and Control Self Assessments(RCSA), Risk Events and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
    • Conduct risk assessments of major business initiatives and ensure appropriate controls are implemented. Specifically executing the QA testing and monitoring framework - On the glass, Behind the glass, Contact center processes
    • Identify and/or resolve risk issues impacting the business, including conducting control reviews or gap analyses for existing processes, as needed
    • Liaise between the Business and Internal Audit for audits and tracking the resulting issues and action plans until effective closure
    • Review and analyze transactions and processes for compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Create controls assurance functions to provide an objective assessment of the strength of the control environment and drive appropriate remedial action of control weaknesses
    • Coordinate and collaborate with various functions / departments and project teams across multiple locations
    • Partner with other teams to develop and maintain relationships by engaging stakeholders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
    • Design/re-design for continuous improvement using Lean & Six Sigma principles & methods
    • Establish & maintain a change management framework, whilst obtaining necessary change advisory board approvals
    • Manage and conduct UAT to ensure final communications are production ready

    Skills and qualifications

    In order to be successful in this role you will be highly analytical with strong financial product acumen. You will also demonstrate:

    • 10+ years Business Controls/ Change Management experience, with a proven track record of managing teams in successful and large-scale change management initiatives at a financial services company, ideally in a consumer lending/contact centre environment
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience
    • Deep knowledge of process engineering, risk monitoring, WFM and QA testing and issue resolution in a contact centre environment.
    • Lean/Six Sigma/Project Management experience
    • Operational Risk Experience and internal control, including control testing, Self Assessments.
    • Experience in Root Cause Analysis on behalf of Risk Owners and Control Owners, for example trigger event monitoring, stakeholder engagement, meeting organisation and outputs.
