    Private Wealth Management (PWM) secures, develops and manages relationships with high net worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by creating and implementing long-term asset allocation within the context of each client’s particular risk tolerance, and by providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies and offer a full array of wealth management products and services, including private banking and trust company services. GS Apex works in coordination with Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) to develop strong ties with family offices to deliver the full investment platform of the Firm. Services provided by Apex are cross divisional, enabling a small subset of PWM clients to access a broader suite of opportunities originating from the Investment Management, Securities, Investment Banking and Merchant Banking Divisions.


    Apex is in search of an Analyst/Associate to help build out the platform, source and champion differentiated investment opportunities across asset classes with emphasis on private and growth equity, structured credit and illiquid markets, and execute on these business opportunities with clients. We are looking for a hard-working and client-friendly individual who will be able to utilize expertise in public or private markets to drive client conversations and facilitate executions, while also expanding on firmwide partnerships with PWAs and other divisions. Additional detail on the position is provided below.


    Responsibilities may include:

    • Develop connectivity within the Firm to source and deliver differentiated and bespoke equity, fixed income and alternative investment products to clients
    • Participate in structuring and negotiating terms and investments
    • Champion select investments through due diligence, committee and review processes internally
    • Communicate investment opportunities with sales teams, and directly to Apex clients
    • Work closely on business development initiatives including managing client-related events, spearheading product development, improving sourcing channels, and creating scalable solutions


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated orientation toward and interest in understanding financial markets with at least 1 to 5 years of relevant industry experience; preferably related to structured credit, private or growth equity, or illiquid public investments
    • Demonstrated history of commercial prowess and success
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to excel in an unstructured, entrepreneurial, business building mode of a new business
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills
    •  Series 7 and 63 preferred but not required
