    Consumer and Investment Management (CIMD)

    The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.

    We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and thoroughly efficient candidate to join our Money Market and Settlement Services team. In this capacity, you will provide investor servicing and recordkeeping focused on enabling distribution, providing consultative services, creating scale and controls.

    Within GSAM, the Strategic Client Service group is a global, sales aligned service organization that provides high quality service and solutions to Shareholders.  Through their client service model, Strategic Client Services enables distribution of GSAM investment products, provides consultative services, scale and controls, all with a focus on being accretive financially to the business.

     

    Within Strategic Client Service, the Money Market and Settlement Services team is a sales-aligned service organization
    that provides client support by ensuring the accurate processing, recording and settlement of shareholder transactions for the
    Goldman Sachs Funds.  The team is responsible for accurate and timely reporting to funds and coordinates notification of all trading
    activity to portfolio managers as well as reconciles all activity pertaining to the daily settlement of shareholder transactions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Initiate and Reconcile all money movements (purchase, redemption and dividends) between the Transfer Agent accounts for GSAM and the corresponding custodian banks
    • Initiate all disbursements for the funds on behalf of shareholder requests
    • Reconcile incoming payments with controlled purchase orders and initiate funding to the custodian banks
    • Coordinate with the Client Service and Portfolio Management teams to ensure daily trading cut-offs for the funds are promptly met
    • Monitor and process fund estimates to ensure accurate portfolio and custodian reporting
    • Reconcile Transfer Agent share and income balances to Custodians or outside Fund families daily
    • Monitor and place trades with non-GS Funds available on the Liquidity Solutions Portal
    • Monitor file feeds to ensure pricing data is being received and transmitted as expected
    • Work closely with the Client Service team to resolve any shareholder requests
    • Perform all functions under the pressure of daily trading and processing deadlines
    • May perform other duties as assigned

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    Basic Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree required
    • Excellent communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure, solve problems efficiently and multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
    • Demonstrates accountability and sense of urgency in achieving results/completing tasks
    • Willingness to be a self-starter with excellent anticipation and strong analytical skills
    • Expert PC skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS Power Point

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2+ years in the financial services industry preferred in mutual fund operations or accounting experience.
    • Knowledgeable about the mutual fund industry
