This role requires a professional with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and successfully facilitate the sale of GSAM products by connecting with Corporations and other Institutional sales teams. The Liquidity Solutions Product Strategy Analyst will be responsible for supporting the product management for GSAM’s short duration mutual funds, money market funds, ETFs and technology products.

    Americas Client Business (ACB) markets GSAM’s investment products and services to institutions, financial intermediaries and advisors. The focus is on building and maintaining long-term client relationships and communicating key themes from the firm’s leading investment professionals. Americas Client Business provides investment solutions across all major asset classes (e.g., fixed income, equities and alternatives) and products including mutual funds, ETFs, separate accounts, technology products and alternative investments

    The individual will become an integral part of the Liquidity Solutions Product Strategy team, interacting closely with the portfolio managers of Liquidity Solutions products, and all levels of distribution, including institutional, third party and private wealth management sales, operations, risk management, marketing and communications, media relations, as well as legal and compliance. In the Americas, the Liquidity Solutions Client Portfolio Management team is responsible for the client communication strategy, including positioning of LS products. The individual would be integral in the prioritization of a focused sales strategy and marketing campaigns for both new and existing products globally. Team members should have strong knowledge of the Liquidity Solutions Teams’ Product Suite as well as working knowledge of the different markets that the business is involved with on a daily basis.  
     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

    • Coordinate with relevant portfolio management teams, members of the Product Strategy Group, technology and sales and marketing groups to develop and deliver a high level of technical expertise across the range of relevant fixed income and technology products; this will include communication of investment process, portfolio positioning, points of competitive differentiation, and analysis of investment results
    • Provide ongoing competitive analysis and development of product positioning strategies; will utilize Morningstar, Bloomberg and iMoneynet databases to conduct analysis
    • Train internal sales teams on products and impacts of market events on strategies and technology products
    • Fulfill general inquiries from various sales teams

     

     

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

     

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and strong academic background required
    • Microsoft Powerpoint skills required
    • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills required
    • Strong organization and time management skills required
    • Strong interest in sales and the financial markets and/or technology product management required
    • Ability to multi-task and work independently
    • Series 7 and 63 registration licensed or obtained within 3 months of employment
