    Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY


    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)


    Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Conduct analyses using proprietary models and software tools to assess the impact of market volatility on corporate pension funded status levels and company financial metrics. Liaise with various investment management and investment banking coverage, product and strategy teams to provide relevant solutions to corporate pension clients. Evaluate relevant pension solutions and strategies to assist plan fiduciaries and sponsors in addressing their pension challenges. Assist in preparing marketing materials and liaising with legal and compliance teams in preparation of discussions with prospective clients. Assist with new business, client prospecting efforts.


    Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a quantitative role in investment management, investment banking or capital markets. Must have three (3) years of experience: using complex financial and simulation models and software, including Microsoft Excel using common formulas / analytical tools such as data tables; performing quantitative analysis on large data sets using tools such as Microsoft Excel including common formulas / analytical tools such as pivot tables, vlookup, filtering, and charts; demonstrating knowledge of corporate finance theory and practice, such as financial statement analysis and valuation, in order to understand how macro risks can impact corporate financial metrics; demonstrating working knowledge of investment management products (i.e. equity, fixed income, etc.) and portfolio theory (i.e. diversification); and working in a front office-office setting of a major broker-dealer, interfacing with investment management professionals, investment bankers, strategists and legal and compliance teams. Must have two (2) years of experience: demonstrating knowledge of pension management and pension accounting practices, including asset / liability management and familiarity with calculating pension expense, pension contributions and pension funded status. FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses required. Travel is required 10% of time to interact with clients outside of the New York City area.
