    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Team Description:

    This global trading desk is responsible for pricing, and managing risk from, credit valuation adjustments (CVA) and funding valuation adjustments (FVA). The desk trades and risk manages a broad range of fixed income derivatives: interest rate products, emerging markets, credit derivatives, currencies and commodities. The role provides a broad-based exposure to credit valuation and pricing as well as macro instruments, while working closely with investment bankers, salespeople, strats, and product-specific traders across the firm. One of CVA Trading’s central functions is to mitigate the “counterparty risk” for the firm arising from OTC derivatives trades with clients without collateral.

     

     Job Responsibilities:

    • Pricing CVA and FVA for clients or underliers for the fixed income, currencies and commodities businesses
    • Hedging and managing risk from CVA and FVA
    • Calculating return on counterparty risk capital
    • Collaborating with businesses to find efficient counterparty risk and derivative funding solutions

     

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record
    • Strong interest in global financial markets & derivative instruments
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Quantitatively oriented
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Solid work ethic and high levels of motivation
    • Fluent in English, additional language skills are a plus
    • Previous experience in related areas, such as corporate finance, derivatives trading and/or credit analysis
