    CONSUMER AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION (CIMD)

    The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.

     

    CONSUMER

    Consumer, externally known as Marcus by Goldman Sachs, is comprised of the firm’s digitally-led consumer businesses, which include our deposits and lending businesses, as well as our personal financial management app, Clarity Money. Consumer combines the strength and heritage of a 150-year-old financial institution with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. Through the use of machine learning and intuitive design, we provide customers with powerful tools that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity to help them make smarter decisions about their money.

     

    We are seeking an experienced consumer business risk professional to assist in designing and implementing quality assurance and governance programs focused on fraud risk for our Consumer Finance businesses. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    The successful candidate will:

    • Oversee governance of the business’ fraud risk quality assurance program standards and procedures in response to changes in the business, fraud strategy or regulatory guidance
    • Ensure that the business’ fraud strategy is working as designed by performing quality assurance testing of fraud alerts and agent decisioning
    • Review and analyze transactions and processes for compliance with business policy and regulatory requirements
    • Liaise across the business and control groups to drive resolution of issues identified by quality assurance and other testing functions

     

    Basic qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience
    • 3-5 years’ experience in the consumer finance industry
    • 3+ years working in an Operational Risk, Audit, Compliance, Quality Assurance or other risk management role
    • Results and delivery oriented, as demonstrated by progressively larger responsibilities
    • Outstanding organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
    • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with senior leadership, key stakeholders and related counterparts
    • Experience with operational risk and control testing and governance
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings and present in a clear, concise manner
    • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint

     

    Preferred qualifications:

     

    • Experience with fraud and AML risk mitigation in consumer banking
    • Experience with quality assurance or other process improvement program development and execution
    • Technical aptitude to learn to use new digital tools and ability to understand a variety of systems behind a digital consumer platform on a high level
    • Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets and analytical tools such as Tableau
