Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, NY. Prepare short-range and long-range profitability analysis for the digital finance business and explain trends and results, used for department-level financial planning and analysis, partnership/strategic discussions, and external communication. Ensure conceptual soundness of Profitability models used for both internal analytics, such as NPV frameworks to evaluate investment decisions, as well as for external reporting. Ensure soundness of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) process and facilitate business sign-off, with responsibility of identifying and remediating key control gaps. Track P&L (Profit & Loss) for our business, including variance-to-forecast explains. Build KPI (Key Performance Indicator) / KRI (Key Risk Indicator) dashboard. Work cross-functionally with other departments in the Firm, such as Treasury, Decisions Science, and Risk, as well as maintain partnership across FP&A process and P&L items, including Revenue and Expense measurements and forecasting.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, International Affairs, Statistics. Must have three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related finance position at a major banking institution. Must have three (3) years of experience with: advanced MS Excel, Tableau or Essbase to perform data analysis, such as for business performance benchmarking, regression analysis, and variance tracking; utilizing SQL or database and business intelligence tools such as Essbase or Hyperion and programming languages, such Python or equivalent to identify and automate the analysis of business trends and drivers; and utilizing technology tools and business processes adopted by banks, and demonstrating an understanding of critical dependencies to manage several projects simultaneously and drive end-to-end project delivery. Must have two (2) years of experience with: consumer profitability and risk modeling, including forecasting prepayment, attrition, balance, default, and reserve projections; and demonstrating analytical skills with portfolio economics and calculating or attributing impact of macro- and volume-based factors on portfolio performance. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Comprehensive Capital Annual Review (CCAR) and Basel frameworks, including Exposure at Default (EAD) and Pre-Provision Net Revenue (PPNR) projections under various stress scenario assumptions; and using MS PowerPoint and Infographics to devise presentations on business performance and comparative analysis to facilitate management decision making, and communicating effectively with senior executives.
