    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, UT. Assist in providing operational risk management and oversight for the firms Private Wealth management Operations Client and Product Management business, which ensures the integrity of the Firm’s books and records through the development of workflows, systems and controls, from trade capture to settlement to reporting. Identify risks and control gaps, drive initiatives to mitigate risks, improve controls, and optimize Operations workflow by leveraging business intelligence and data management tools, such as Alteryx, to build scalable and sustainable processes. Utilize quantitative and analytical data modeling tools such as Alteryx and Tableau to produce metrics, design and implement dashboards for stakeholders and senior management with a focus on automating manual processes and contributing to the development of risk mitigation and increased control. Prototype relational data sets using programming tools such as SQL to extract, transform, enrich and analyze trade, positions, transactional and reference data from various database systems. Take responsibility for root cause analysis and resolution of position, balance and tax lot breaks between private wealth management sub ledger system, Firmwide systems, and transaction processing engines, while analyzing large amounts of data, performing analysis, interacting with Technology, and understanding systems and processes. Partner with Technology to create systems capable of processing and reporting data consistent with regulatory requirements and drive user acceptance testing of new development.

     

    Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related analytical field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related operational role in financial services. Must have three (3) years of experience with: demonstrating project management responsibility for optimizing operations workflow to build scalable and sustainable processes; liaising with business users, technology and operations professionals in a timely fashion to ensure accurate sourcing and reporting and to remediate known issues; executing initiatives pertaining to process improvements, system upgrades, integration and migration; utilizing Signavio to define, document, and communicate with stakeholders the processes, logic, and decision modeling of an existing or future process; utilizing quantitative and analytical data modeling tools such as Tableau to produce metrics, design and implement dashboards for stakeholders and senior management with a focus on automating manual processes and contributing to the development of risk mitigation and increased control; analyzing and merging complex data sets across databases and servers using cross-server joins with data analytical tools (SQL, Alteryx, Tableau) in order to provide a unified representation of the underlying data and produce/validate reports for accuracy; and utilizing MS Excel VBA to optimize manual workflows.
