Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Responsible for managing full front to back logistics of roadshows for Investment Banking transactions. Manage team staffing to ensure proper coverage of upcoming and live roadshows. Senior oversight on the desk, servicing as an escalation point for the team and responsible for training junior coordinators. Maintain and further establish relationships with the business to ensure success of the roadshow desk. Business strategy planning with global counterparts to drive key initiatives, promote consistency across regions and ensure uniformity in processes and procedures. Leverage expertise to devise innovative and creative solutions to address complex or nuanced scenarios for the desk. Subject matter expert in all facets of the roadshow space covering pre-marketing, IPOs, Follow Ons, Private Placements, High Yield and Investment Grade. GS expert of internally developed systems affiliated with the marketing process. Manage complex booking of travel, accommodations and ground transportation for management teams (CEO, CFO, etc.) and internal senior management. Manage relationships with vendors who provide various services for our clients, such as hotels, cars, event spaces, private air, commercial air, virtual roadshow marketing and call services. Coordinate with sales and banking to arrange a daily marketing schedule for equity and debt clients. Consistently interact with senior bankers and management teams to ensure a top in class service and experience during the roadshow of their offering. Plan group meetings and calls for management teams to tell their story to investors. Close coordination with compliance to ensure policies and procedures are appropriately followed.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Financial Marketing or a related field. The employer will accept a combination of education and/or experience equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree. 5.25 years of experience in the job offered or related equity and fixed income roadshow management position in the finance industry. Must have 5.25 years of experience with: Managing an effective desk and building out a junior team responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies for debt and equity clients; Demonstrating deep technical expertise in the roadshow business from pre-marketing concept to delivery, including business strategy planning, devising creative solutions to problems presented, IPOs, Follow Ons, Private Placements, High Yield and Investment Grade; Coordinating with sales and banking stakeholders to arrange daily marketing schedules, and managing vendor relationships; Delivering differentiated client experiences through high quality execution resulting in repeat roadshow business and Follow Ons; Establishing relationships with the business (including the sales team), industry, clients, including CFO’s and CEO’s of high profile companies, and proactively driving commercially effective opportunities; and Overseeing risk management by adhering to detailed company procedures such that for any issues that arise, clear escalation processes are in place to ensure that the proper level of seniority on the desk is involved in addressing the issues.
