    Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

    Accelerate is a firmwide initiative to foster innovation and collaboration across divisions, with a focus on the firm’s future growth.

    As part of one of the Accelerate projects, we are looking to build a team to help pursue investment strategies in the green / renewable energy industry. Potential investment strategies are wide ranging and include a number of businesses across the renewable energy value chain, including asset development, broker/re-seller, technology development, and retail provider.


    The ideal candidate will join this effort as VP of Operations, with responsibility for management of a wide range of consumer renewable energy systems and processes that will support core business activities. The candidate must have an entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to work across the organization, accepting ambiguity with an eye toward organizing and creating policies foundational to growth.  The candidate must possess a “can do” attitude as this person will wear many hats within the organization, filing gaps inherent in fast-growing companies.




    • Establish systems, policies and processes for prospect-to-cash, with detailed process and data flows ensuring all relevant internal and external stakeholders and requirements are properly incorporated
    • Build customer service organization and culture of customer service excellence
    • Ensure effective technology integrations and ongoing interaction between internal and external resources
    • Analyze business trends, and lead problem solving, using quantitative tools to understand the performance of our business – including billing, customer service, and market operations
    • Create processes and procedures that will guide the ongoing development of the business
    • Support energy operations on issues such as pricing, supply and portfolio management, and ISO settlements
    • Ensure on-time delivery of complex projects
    • Serve as subject matter expert on back office functions and operations
    • Work closely with strategy and business teams to understand business goals and guide operational functions to achieve these goals


    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with an energy provider
    • Minimum of 5 years working in operations with a deregulated supplier with experience in ERCOT and PJM required. Experience in NYISO, ISO-NE preferred
    • Proven experience working closely with sales, trading, marketing, risk management, regulatory affairs, finance/accounting and other organizational stakeholders
    • Experience working with EDI vendors
    • Creative thinker with a track record of entrepreneurship and innovative problem-solving
    • Self-starter that will serve as a culture-setter for an organization
    • Strong interpersonal skills, and comfort communicating across teams
    • Entrepreneurial experience preferred
    • Experience hiring and managing teams
    • Experience hiring and managing third-party vendors
    • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, quantitative or engineering field, graduate degree preferred
    • Comfort with Excel required; familiarity with SQL preferred
