    RISK

    The Risk division is responsible for credit, market and operational risk, model risk, independent liquidity risk, and insurance throughout the firm.

     

    The Operational Risk Management and Analysis (ORMA) Department, an independent risk management function, is responsible for developing and implementing a standardized framework to identify, measure, and monitor and operational risk across the firm. The Operational Risk External Engagement team manages the flow of operational risk information to the firm’s board of directors, risk committees, regulators, clients and external auditors.

     

    The Client Risk Assessment role is for a risk professional to manage the firm’s response to clients risk assessments and due diligence inquiries related to information security and cybersecurity controls. This role will be responsible for responses to client inquiries and will support the development and ongoing management of artifacts, templates and tools to facilitate that response process. Client responses includes due diligence activities, questionnaires and meetings for clients of the firm across all our businesses. This role will also support other external engagement programs, including the development of training programs related to risk management and information security.

     

    This role requires an energetic self-starter with a commitment to improving risk management practices.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Responsibilities:

    • Responding to, tracking and reporting on client inquiries and due diligence risk assessments related information security and cybersecurity
    • Continually improving internal assets that are shared with clients related to information and cyber security, including the firm’s Client Security Statement and multiple industry templates
    • Designing and implementing process improvements across the external engagement team
    • Develop training materials covering various risk topics, including information security and cybersecurity, that meet firm, regulatory and client requirements for employee training and awareness
    • Engaging with key constituents across the Risk Division and with other firm partners (Technology, Finance, Compliance, Legal) related to Operational Risk Governance activities
    • Identifying and driving initiatives that improve the risk management activities at the firm

     

     

    Qualifications:

    • Understanding of technology risk concepts, including controls and control frameworks, technology risk domains, risk measurements and methodologies
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills – able to present with impact and influence
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
    • Experience in managing process and ensuring high quality and timely delivery of work products
    • Experience in project management with strong organizational skills
    • Able to demonstrate leadership, a practical approach and an ability to influence and negotiate with others
    • Experience in content development and messaging for senior management presentations and reporting
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with a strong delivery focus
    • 1-5 years of relevant professional experience
    • Proficiency in Excel (pivots, VLookups) and PowerPoint
    • Possess a Bachelor's Degree
    • Understanding of the firm’s business and of the financial services industry
    • Familiarity with enterprise risk management best-practices and controls
