GS Accelerate sits within the firm’s influential firmwide strategy group that reports to the Chief Strategy Officer.

     

     

    POLARIS

    Polaris is an Accelerate business focused on building a risk analytics platform for private markets. The platform is currently focused on private credit investing and will look to cover additional investing strategies as part of its forward roadmap. Polaris is still in the early stages of development and this hire will play a leading role in shaping the business and product strategy of the platform.

     

     

    YOUR IMPACT

    The Head of Business Strategy is a critical role responsible for shaping the direction and overall strategy of the Polaris platform. This person will work closely with the product team, engineering team, and senior business stakeholders across the firm to map out and communicate the strategic vision for the platform. You will shape the product roadmap and inform key business decisions by conducting deep market research and data analysis, in addition to leading the distribution strategy of the platform. The ideal candidate is extremely resourceful with prior experience managing and launching new products

    As Head of Business Strategy, you will frequently engage with senior stakeholders across the firm to articulate the vision for the platform’s future growth and necessary resourcing to achieve the key objectives of the business.

     

    HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

    • Develop, maintain, and action a comprehensive business strategy and distribution roadmap
    • Conduct research on industry trends and market demand to inform product development
    • Build relationships with key end users to assist in both the development and distribution of the product
    • Build consensus among stakeholders and partner with the product team and engineers to deliver high quality experiences
    • Track overall financial planning and operational analytics (ex. optimizing performance, creating analytics and prioritizing work based on data)
    • Ownership of the management reporting and tracking associated with the business

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 8-10+ years of experience in strategy, business development, or sales, preferably in the financial services or financial software industries
    • Proven analytical skills and problem solving ability paired with meticulous attention to detail
    • Understanding of the alternative investment space or related financial services experience
    • Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership of projects
    • Strong organizational skills with an ability to effectively manage competing priorities
    • Ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal stakeholders
    • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, consistently adhering to deadlines and evolving priorities
