    The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ strategy and in supporting and enhancing the firm’s distinctive culture.     The Sustainable Finance Group is responsible for partnering with the firm’s businesses to drive sustainability-related commercial activity. This includes helping to deliver leading expertise and capabilities to our clients across sustainable growth themes, and driving innovation. The Sustainable Finance Group also engages with the firm’s people and many of the firm’s external stakeholders on sustainability, including investors, policy makers, NGOs, and thought-leaders.


    The Vice President position would be responsible for establishing and growing a pipeline of innovative commercial sustainability solutions with a focus on financing and investment. In addition, the candidate would support the development of sustainability-related insights, thought leadership content for clients, and broader recognition opportunities including the firm’s sustainability reporting. This is a unique position that would allow the candidate to work on leading edge innovative client solutions and content while gaining exposure to key internal and external firm stakeholders



    • Establish and grow the pipeline of potential innovative sustainability-related solutions for clients
    • Develop and maintain the firm’s relationships with key external stakeholders within the public and non-profit sectors
    • Drive cross-divisional collaboration by building relationships with key internal stakeholders
    • Contribute to key recognition efforts, including sustainability-related insights and policy views for clients and the firm’s sustainability reporting
    • Work with teams to develop presentation materials to be shared with clients on sustainability-related themes and insights


    • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ experience in finance, investing or markets-related role; OR Master’s Degree and 4+ years’ experience in finance, investing or markets-related role
    • Deep understanding of and passion for sustainability-related work; exposure to public sector or public-private partnerships a plus
    • Entrepreneurial and strategic thinker
    • Ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience drafting research, insights or reporting
    • Ability to self-direct and manage projects, interact and build senior-level relationships across the firm
    • Highly detail-oriented and strong project management skills
