    CONSUMER AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION (CIMD)

    The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world.     RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    This professional will develop and implement strategic content that helps drive sales and client retention efforts for the GSAM Client Business. Main responsibilities include writing and editing thought leadership pieces, communications, product support pieces and digital content. This individual should be a forward-thinking financial writer and marketer, with demonstrated ability to work in dynamic and growing organizations.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Drive content strategy and develop timely and effective positioning and messaging on topics critical to the business
    • Translate complex ideas into compelling, audience- and media-appropriate communications (e.g., whitepapers, commentaries, product collateral, digital and media content)
    • Collaborate with content stakeholders in different functions, including sales and investment teams, to establish key objectives and themes for content
    • Collaborate with other writers and content providers, designers and external resources to effectively execute initiatives that are timely and relevant for our institutional and retail audiences
    • Provide proofreading and editing support for both technical and narrative materials
    • Maintain broad knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends and industry developments specific to asset management to inform content creation

     

    Strong, ongoing communication is required across the firm’s sales/marketing professionals, investment team members, and other key stakeholders in order to deliver materials in an accurate and timely manner.

     

    Skills/experience:

    • Experience in a similar role within an asset management company
    • In-depth knowledge of the asset management marketplace, products, clients, regulations, competitors
    • Demonstrated aptitude of financial markets and macroeconomic activity to help identify commercial opportunities
    • Strong marketing skills in both strategy and execution
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Direct experience in a similar role within an asset management company
    • Product knowledge, having worked in product management or another area which brings strong product, asset management and mutual fund experience
    • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story
    • Ability to challenge, influence and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure decisions are well thought and can be executed well
    • Demonstrable track record of working effectively with several teams: sales teams, product managers, legal, compliance, client service, etc.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to compare products, markets, clients.
    • Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards
