    YOUR IMPACT

    A successful candidate would leverage their analytical and communication skills to drive understanding and decision making as it relates to the Firms ~$10bn of Non-Compensation Expenses. The ideal candidate would leverage standard applications and business intelligence tools to uplift stock reporting and conduct targeted analysis.

     

    OUR IMPACT

    Our team is responsible for the governance, proactive management and reporting of the Firm’s Non-Compensation related expenses. Our responsibility includes the development of reporting and policy that helps drive more commercial decision making related to expense base.

     

    HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

    This role provides a fantastic opportunity to have an impact across all Divisions at GS as our data intelligence grows – this role also provides an opportunity to interact at firm level, engaging the firm-wide strategy and playing a role in shaping the direction of expense strategy across the Firm

     

    Key responsibilities include:

    Communication:

    • Coordinate the annual budget, quarterly reforecast and monthly projection processes with various stakeholders (including developing deliverable timeline, reporting templates, etc.)
    • Develop recurring narrative describing key expense drivers, levers and opportunities for consumption by senior leadership
    • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and an ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders
    • Articulate issues clearly and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

     

    Technical:

    • Drive design decisions and develop action oriented reporting development reporting suite to guide decision making and transparency
    • Preferred: Experience participating in Visualization deployments (Tableau; Power BI; Qlik)

    • Ability to manage a plan across multiple competing priorities and stakeholders

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

     

    BASIC QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Ability to work with Excel on a day to day basis and strong technical skills
    • Strong analytical skills: ability to organize and analyze large datasets, detect and correct errors, interpret and report results to various audiences and take responsibility for data quality assurance
    • Ability to identify opportunities to establish efficient and robust processes
    • 0-5 years’ experience

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Familiarity with accounting and business planning tools such as Hyperion Essbase, SmartView, Anaplan
    • Experience participating in Visualization deployments and applications (Tableau; Power BI; Qlik)
    • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information; impeccable judgement
    • Demonstrated client service focus and ability to build relationships across levels
    • Relevant business experience demonstrating:
      • Successful project management and leadership within a team
      • Complex analytic project design and execution
      • Professional communication and thought-partnership with clients and stakeholders
