    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Job Summary

     

    Candidates joining the Credit SMM Trading desk are engaged in market making and its related functions in US Credit and Muni products. The desk offers liquidity primarily in a principal capacity and trade with clients via vendor platforms and directly with clients intermediated by sales. The desk looks for individuals with strong communication, both written and verbal, strong mathematical skillsets, programming experience, and who are motivated to get hands on experience with algorithmic trading. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Managing desk risk
    • Working with developers to automate common desk workflows, streamline trading process
    • Understanding and analyzing market microstructure, incorporating findings into trading strategies
    • Interfacing with sales, operations, and other internal constituents

    Basic Qualifications 

    • Interest in capital markets
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
    • Programming experience in C++, Java, or Python
    • Bachelors in a STEM area
    • Strong communication both written and verbal
    • Interest in algorithmic trading

    Preferred Qualifications 

    • Prior trading or sales experience in Credit or Muni products
