    Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities (FICC) Engineering plays a key role in the firm’s
    ability to provide liquidity and execution services for institutional clients around the world, two important revenue drivers for the firm. In FICC Engineering we use both open source industry standard and internal proprietary technologies to build cutting edge platforms for pricing, execution, and control over each of these millions of transactions.

     

    Your Impact

    As a Risk and Models developer on the ION team, you will be working directly with the firm’s Credit, Latam and Mortgage trading desks. As the Fixed Income market rapidly electronifies, the ION team is focussed on redesigning the full stack of our technological solutions to meet the changing market environments. This ranges from developing efficient pricing and risk models across these desks, building massively scalable risk and pnl systems, building services for quoting and analytics, and architecting low latency infrastructure solutions. We use world class internal systems, open-source components and best of breed commercial products to achieve this end.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Who We Look For

    An ideal candidate would have strong a strong technical background and problem solving skills, drive to investigate and learn new ideas, and the judgement to deliver quick yet robust solutions.

     

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelors/MS or PhD in a quantitative field - Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics.
    • Strong programming background in an object oriented language
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and deliver accurate results quickly.
    • Ability to solve problems and to explain the ideas that underlie them.
    • Interest/familiarity with financial modelling

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with real-time systems
    • Knowledge of fixed income financial markets / basic financial modelling.
