    Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments.     Unique opportunity to enhance the Dallas Trade Desk (2-3 traders) to support United Capital/Goldman Sachs’ rapidly growing wealth management business. The Dallas Trade Desk ensures accurate and timely execution and settlement of equity, fixed income, and option trades.


    The Trade Desk is responsible for creating, reviewing, and executing trade recommendations for both firm models and Financial Advisors’ directed ad-hoc requests. The Head Trader will be responsible for enhancing our order entry system, creating new processes to ensure order flow is managed efficiently, thinking creatively about how to serve our advisors and clients better. Individual will be responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for clients and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive experience.


    Job Summary:

    • Ensure trading procedures are properly executed and that compliance policies are followed.
    • Identify, develop, and implement new trading tools and workflows to help streamline, improve and scale the business.
    • Keep up-to-date with and ensure team awareness of industry regulation changes as well as any internal compliance updates.
    • Create and maintain reports for Compliance, Risk, and Senior Management that include (but are not limited to):
      • Transaction reports by product, office, and by executing broker
      • Trade Errors/Incident
      • Best execution
    • Participate in user acceptance testing on technology enhancement to firm proprietary and vendor distributed applications (order management systems, trade capture and enrichment)
    • Develop and maintain an understanding of trade execution strategies, transaction costs, and products in the markets.
    • Manage capacity of workload and operations to ensure appropriate levels are maintained in order to forecast resource needs, both short and long-term within the Dallas Trade Desk.
    • Monitor, identify, and correct any account level cash or position deviations from assigned models. Develop, implement, and maintain procedures for ensuring minimal dispersion amongst separately managed accounts.
    • Data management and manipulation of raw data in various systems to obtain data required to generate required management and compliance reports.
    • Office relationship development and management, including ongoing and regular office contact and communications to make sure we are meeting their needs.


    Education and Experience:

    A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting and/or Economics or equivalent experience in the financial services industry. Must have 5-10 years of trading, SMA experience preferred. Experience with portfolio management and rebalancing software required, Envestnet|Tamarac use preferred. Strong understanding of the operational structure of an RIA and trading attributes of different investment products.


    Required Knowledge of:

    • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Apps
    • CRM software, Salesforce experience a plus
    • Securities, Financial Planning, Investments or Insurance
    • Broker Dealer and Investment Advisory Regulations
    • Must be able to quickly learn new trading systems such as Fidelity WealthScape, Schwab Advisor Center, and TD Ameritrade VEO, Tamarac, and Envestnet.


    Required Skills in:

    • Demonstrated analytical ability and good judgment, problem solver, takes responsibility, demonstrates personal integrity, honesty and is able to deal with confidential information on a daily basis.
    • A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, positive professional attitude and demeanor.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
    • Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and independently, with minimal supervision, and to see projects through to conclusion.
    • Excellent time management and strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential client issues.
    • SQL experience a plus.
