The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes United Capital, Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.



Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond

United Capital, a Goldman Sachs company, is hiring a Vice President of Marketing. This role is focused on generating leads and driving adoption of our Client Experience, Investment Management and FinTech Product to a growing customer base of 80+ firms, employee network of 100+ advisor offices, and the clients these advisor groups serve.


Reporting to United Capital’s CMO as a member of the marketing leadership team, this individual is focused on results that drive business revenue. They will optimize efforts across key channels of marketing, including media, events, social/SEO, digital campaigns and influencer techniques. They own the marketing strategy, manage the message and work with a team of enthusiastic marketers to execute campaigns 


This individual is a team player and strategic do-er that brings innovative thinking and best practices to the role. This role will be based in New York City.



  • Set marketing goals and strategies aligned with business targets.
  • Develop messaging platforms and positioning.
  • Manage content and serve as subject matter expert in the B2B space.
  • Ensure the consistency of our brand, message and voice to this audience.
  • Analyze marketing and lead performance, ROI tracking and campaign impact.
  • Build sales funnels using digital marketing that increases web traffic and engagement.
  • Oversee sponsorships and speaking engagement and promotion of both.
  • Builds relationships with our custodians, vendors, industry influencers and advisors.
  • Stays current on industry trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate across United Capital/Goldman Sachs businesses and management teams.
  • Manage and track budgets and timelines.
  • Manage staff supporting event management, investment management and Product/Technology marketing.

Key Position Requirements:

  • College degree with 10+ years marketing experience
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • A successful track record of leading multiple projects from inception to execution.
  • Experience with developing, executing, and tracking results tied to integrated multi-touch marketing plans and events.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record of successful planning and execution of multiple events with competing priorities.
  • Excellent critical thinking, prioritization, organizational, and project planning skills.
  • Excellent oral / written communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Exceptional project and time management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail focused, results-driven, and accountable.
  • Ability to handle stress and last-minute, urgent requests.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a group while facilitating the work of cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management.
