    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, TX.  Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, TX. Vice President on the Market Risk Specialists team, which is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting market risk and capital for internal risk management and regulatory purposes. Understand day-to-day details related to limit management and reporting across products (Interest Rate, Foreign Exchange, Credit, Equities, Commodities, Mortgages) and market risk metrics (Value at Risk, stress testing). Communicate limit management issues to Senior Management to assist in sound risk management. Understand and apply the firm’s Volcker compliance program for the market risk department. Ensure that the firm’s Volcker-related reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner.

     

    Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Financial Engineering, Financial Risk Management or a related field. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: market risk metrics (including Value at Risk, and Stress test) across Macro (including Interest rate products, Foreign exchange, and Commodities) markets and financial instruments and across Micro (including Equities, Credit, and Mortgages) markets and financial instruments; Statistical techniques including  empirical and regression testing and applying them to various types of financial data to extract insights related to key market risks; programming in an object oriented programming language and retrieving and manipulating data for analysis and reporting; Risk governance, best practices, reporting and controls; and communicating complex risk management issues in effective manner to Sr. Management.
