The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ strategy and in supporting and enhancing the firm’s distinctive culture. The Brand and Content Strategy (BCS) group is responsible for managing the external facing brand of Goldman Sachs and creating content that explains our businesses, the work we do for clients, and our insights on key trends and themes shaping the global economy. We create content that is distributed across goldmansachs.com, social media, paid media campaigns, and sponsored content hubs, among other platforms. Our team also manages the firm’s presence on social media (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) and the GS.com website. We manage marketing for firm recruitment efforts, the philanthropic efforts of the Office of Corporate Engagement (e.g., 10,000 Women, 10,000 Small Businesses), and major initiatives such as Launch With GS and Sustainable Finance. Furthermore, we have responsibility for partnerships, conferences, and speaker series; industry awards and rankings; and agency and outside vendor sourcing. Finally, we also manage masterbrand strategy and firmwide brand portfolio frameworks, and serve as internal marketing consultants to the different businesses across the firm.
This VP role will focus primarily on developing a strategy for the firm’s awards submissions, which are a key driver of bolstering reputation, favorability, and admired employer attributes. Each year we compete for dozens of awards sponsored by media companies, workforce consultancies, and other external parties. This role will evaluate the current slate of opportunities, audit the landscape for new ones, and recommend a strategy to maximize impact and successful outcomes. The role will also lead the submission writing process, which consists of in-depth understanding of and collaboration with the firm’s different businesses and initiatives.
Additionally, the role will create editorial strategies and written marketing content to support a number of other priority marketing areas, which may include recruitment marketing (via our GS Careers Blog), long-form articles (i.e. for Launch With GS or Sustainable Finance), or broad strategic narratives for business areas and the firm overall. As a part of the team that focuses on Goldman Sachs’ masterbrand strategy and priority thematic marketing campaigns, the VP will leverage their talents in a number of areas where content creation and editorial vision will be valued.
