Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Work closely with the head of content management and other members of the research publishing team by providing analyses for financial research that impacts markets, companies, industries, economies and currencies worldwide in three main areas: Macro (economics, portfolio strategy, Commodities) and Equity and Credit securities. Manage the editing and production process of financial research material from point of submission to point of distribution. Train and develop the Firm’s Global Investment Research (GIR) team members on overall editorial/compliance procedures, writing, templates and desktop publishing product-related systems. Engage with lead research analysts and their teams to improve the quality of published research. Manage workflow, record production details and edit reports and comments using proprietary applications. Liaise with Compliance/Legal, Digital Content Strategy, and GIR Technology teams to publish research (under relevant policies, guidelines, and regulations) and enhance publishing systems/processes.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field. Will accept a single or combination of degrees, diplomas or professional certifications deemed equivalent by a qualified evaluation agency. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as an investment or supervisory analyst. Prior work experience must include three (3) years: working on investment research reports, such as Equity, Fixed Income or Macro related research; supervising preparation of materials, such as investment research reports/presentations and financial models, prepared by financial/securities analysts; financial analytical experience gained at banks, insurance companies or other financial institutions; liaising with senior executives, including Compliance, Legal, and Technology, at banks, insurance companies or other financial institutions; and working with research publishing systems and processes to publish research and improve time to market.
