    Operations Specialist with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, UT.


    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)


    Duties: Operations Specialist with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, UT. Direct client coverage for several key relationships on behalf of Equity Synthetic Client Operations with Americas-based clients. Utilize technical skills and knowledge of the Synthetic Products Group business to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Utilize project management skills to liaise with Technology groups to initiate, communicate, develop and test requirements to effectively implement new initiatives related to business growth or regulatory implementation. Perform comprehensive analysis to ensure accuracy of client portfolios by reconciling trades and lifecycle events as needed. Identify risks and inefficiencies in daily business processes and help drive initiatives to mitigate those risk while creating efficiencies in the processes. Utilize knowledge of regulations and subsequent reporting obligations (CFTC Part 43/45, EMIR, HKMA, MIFID II) to determine if subsequent operational processes or requests from stakeholder impact those obligations. Assist in review of checklist items to ensure completion of controls by team. Review and solve exceptions of activity related to client coverage that is flagged on various control reports.


    Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting or a related analytical field. Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related financial services position. Must have four (4) years of experience with: Equity Derivatives and understanding of ongoing initiatives that impact that segment of the industry; Working knowledge of US and non-US regulations including CFTC Part 43/45, EMIR, HKMA, MIFID II,  to understand impact to clients and ensure compliance with local regulation; Utilizing technical skills, systems and knowledge of the equity derivatives business requirements into technical specifications; Using project management skills to liaise with Technology groups and various internal stakeholders and users to implement projects related to business growth, infrastructure redesign or regulatory implementations leveraging Microsoft Outlook tools and Bloomberg; Performing client facing roles in a business aligned environment and proven track record of building relationships externally and internally; Handling internal exceptions related to client activity; and Managing time-sensitive requests and escalations and meeting deadlines.
