RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The firm seeks an experienced hire candidate to join the midstream and pipelines equity research team as a Vice President.     The candidate should maintain multiple years experience on the sell-side working in oil and gas, preferably in the midstream and pipelines sectors.   We expect the candidate will assume or initiate lead coverage of at least 7-10 equities within the first 12 months of joining the firm, in addition to supporting the team or helping to lead research on oil, natural gas, and NGL infrastructure supply/demand trends.   Over time, we anticipate incremental opportunities will emerge to assume lead coverage of additional equities within the midstream sector.   

 

Key qualifications

 

  • At least 4-5 years of sell side equity research within MLPs and Pipelines
  • Experience as a covering or lead analyst on individual equities
  • Solid understanding of key energy macro and supply/demand trends
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships
  • Strong financial modelling and analysis skills as well as stock picking abilities
  • Experience managing others on teams and assuming leadership of projects
  • Experience working well with other teams across the energy sectors
  • Bachelors degree required
