    Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY.

     

    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY. Business/Technical Analyst role on the Equities Regulatory Management team, which is responsible for analyzing and managing new regulatory directives that impact the Firm’s equities business from a software engineering effort and responding to external regulatory and firm internal audits/inquiries across numerous equities businesses.  Responsibilities include: Analyzing new regulations and rules changes that impact the equities business and working with critical stakeholders to interpret how new regulations impact the downstream information technology systems and platforms; Interpreting new regulations by leveraging deep subject matter expertise with equities order and execution data, and identifying the linkage between related data sources and systems (this includes: Scenario, data and implementation analysis of orders and execution data for trade and transaction reporting IT systems and platforms; Implementation of control frameworks related to the Firm's equities trade, transaction, and order reporting systems; and Management of complex regulatory inquires); Working with Business leaders, Engineers, Legal and Compliance divisions to determine the Firm's technology implementation strategy for new regulations; Performing impact assessment on existing regulations for new commercial initiatives and working on implementation and testing of IT systems and platforms; and The business/technical analyst must be familiar and competent at managing all stages of the project lifecycle including requirements gathering, functional/component testing, integration/user acceptance testing, post production validation and monitoring production flow.

     

    Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or related business/technical analyst position. Prior work experience must include seven (7) years with: Working across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) of product development, including requirements gathering, Functional and Technical Design, User Acceptance Testing, Release Procedures and Change request analysis; Evaluating technical changes and proposed updates to data producing systems; Analyzing data models of various systems in an organization and their relationships to each other; Reviewing US or UK regulatory changes to securities and identifying impact to technology systems that support the securities exchanges and platforms; Working on projects involving equities trade life cycle events data; Working with FIX protocol; Programming in Python, Java or equivalent; and Writing complex queries using SQL and relational databases. Prior work experience must include four (4) years of experience with: Conducting project management using JIRA, while leading large-scale projects, including communicating with stakeholders and working with global teams within a financial services institution.
