Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Work as project manager, designer and developer on a global team responsible for all order, execution and trade management systems for multiple asset classes (equities, listed options, FX, Fixed Income, Mutual funds, hedge funds etc.) traded by private wealth management clients. Work closely with Technology, Business, and Compliance teams on the requirements, design, implementation and project management for the strategic order and execution platform as well as the booking platform using technologies such as Java/DB2/C++, C# and Scala. Work closely with Business, Operations, Compliance, and other Federation stakeholders on an on-going basis to manage production support, manage expectations and work out detailed scope, design and delivery of their functional asks. Write software code to support growing business needs to drive scale and improve operational efficiency and new regulatory controls. Responsible for the full lifecycle of development, from initial analysis and requirements gathering with users, through design, development, Quality Assurance testing and production release. Financial industry experience required and some experience or understanding with trading and middle office trade management flow from functional perspective expected. Work on a global software development team and communicate status/design effectively across multiple regions. In addition to longer term projects, also work on production support, enhancements, and critical fixes to support existing suite of production applications and supporting infrastructure.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field. Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related software development position. Prior experience must include seven (7) years of experience with: Developing software within the financial services industry; Programming using Java, C and C++; Working with relational databases, such as Oracle or Sybase; Using JMS (or other interactive messaging) technologies; Developing technologies and applying principles of order and trade management workflow; Working closely with stakeholders through all stages of the software development lifecycle; and Developing with Agile methodologies.
