    Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, UT.

     

    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, UT. Vice President in the Technology division. Responsible for supporting existing applications/production plant that ensure the firm’s sub ledger activities are ready for the business. Provide end-to-end monitoring, oversight for any batch issues and ensure all user queries are handled in timely fashion to avoid any impact to business. Understand current state of plant, apply analytics to derive patterns, identify automation opportunities thereby reducing cost to the firm and also reducing operational risk. Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of code debugging or log analysis. Manage incidents and effectively communicate with users, application owners and senior stakeholders across all areas. Develop reports that provide trending statistics to track and manage application health and support service performance.

     

    Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a relevant engineering field. Will accept single degree or any combination of degrees and/or professional experience that are equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Must have five (5) years of experience with: production support within the financial industry; working with global team and communicating status/design effectively across multiple regions; identifying enhancement opportunities and providing inputs during the transition of legacy applications into strategic applications by drawing themes based on incidents; working concurrently on multiple issues related to the production plant, managing business priorities by assessing critical deliverables and prioritizing accordingly, and communicating effectively with internal business/technical stakeholders; Unix & shell scripts; Relational Databases, such as Sybase or DB2, including experience with stored procedures and performance tuning; and supporting Java-based applications, including experience debugging and recommending real-time solutions in a production environment.
