    The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.




    The CIMD Digital Investing Team is developing technology to extend its investment capabilities to a wide range of customers in an automated and scalable way. We design and build tools that are transforming the investing experience and extending our services to new client segments. We are a product driven team, composed of talented and passionate product managers, designers, an engineers working to change the landscape of investment management.

    Are you looking to apply your portfolio management and trading expertise to deliver positive and frictionless digital customer experiences? We are seeking an Analyst / Associate with a passion for financial markets and desire to work closely with portfolio managers and financial advisors to innovate and change the financial advice industry. A self-starter and a problem solver, you will serve portfolio management and trade execution functions of the business. You will learn from portfolio managers and financial advisors across the division and become a subject matter expert in portfolio management for multi-asset portfolios. You will play a critical role in helping to develop the roadmap and build a platform that can be used for various wealth segments, ranging from mass-affluent to high-net-worth individuals.     • Leverage your trading or operational background and experience to contribute to a growing business
    • Assist in the portfolio management (implementation and rebalancing) of client investment portfolios
    • Track and monitor performance of investment strategies offered on the platform
    • Identify opportunities to collaborate with other portfolio management teams in the division and adopt best practices
    • Establish relationship with business stakeholders to identify synergies, pitch ideas and create a roadmap for the platform
    • Work closely with the product team to understand the evolving product offering and anticipate the needs of the client segment


    • Oversee daily portfolio management and trade execution responsibilities including cash flow management, account rebalancing and model maintenance
    • Closely liaise with internal operations teams and external vendors to ensure oversight of the reconciliation processes and controls
    • Take ownership of the order lifecycle, monitor portfolios and rebalance to predefined risk and construction parameters
    • Monitor the execution of orders via third-party brokers and platforms including execution quality review and onboarding new vendors
    • Act as first point of contact for portfolio management on issues raised by compliance, client service and operations regarding portfolios and/or trading
    • Perform attribution for client portfolios including monitoring financial markets
    • Take ownership of portfolio management for custom corporate programs including engagement with sales team and corporate partners, reporting and actively position the program
    • Develop an understanding of the needs of various affiliated business and their best practices in regards to portfolio construction, implementation and trade execution
    • Work closely with Technology, building upon and developing portfolio management functionality 


    • Bachelor’s Degree required 
    • Strong interest in the financial markets and good investment acumen
    • 2+ years of prior experience in portfolio management and trading or related role
    • Preference for previous trading experience, particularly with ETFs and mutual funds
    • Experience with middle office job functions like custodian management, account opening and funding
    • Working knowledge of asset management compliance and investment guidelines
    • Experienced in working with highly capable engineering teams
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
    • Very detail oriented, exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
    • Intelligent, creative, and good problem-solving abilities
    • Project management and organizational skills are a must
