    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Conduct deep dive valuation and financial analysis (Discounted Cash Flow, Leveraged Buyout, Merger Consequences, Comparable Companies, and Precedent Transactions) during buy-side, sell-side, or financing processes to present to corporates, financial sponsors and private clients. Analyze accounting and regulatory statements, debt and equity filings and documents, financial projections and models to support with analysis. Draft financing (Bank Books, Lender Presentations, and Rating Agency Presentations) and marketing (Confidential Information Memorandums, Management Presentations, and Teasers) materials to assist companies in the Industrials sector to present to potential buyers of the company or their securities and other relevant third parties. Manage live deal execution, including interacting/coordinating with clients and potential buyers and investors on a daily basis, running the due diligence process, chaperoning due diligence calls/sessions, visiting company facilities, negotiating non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents with lawyers and potential buyers, and organizing and attending deal and non-deal roadshows. Supervise, guide and coordinate junior professionals’ work product, including reviewing financial modeling work and presentations prepared for live deals, corporate board meetings, investment banking pitches and client service projects on corporate finance topics. Supervise and review memoranda required to gain internal approvals from various investment banking committees. Interact with senior management, other financing/structuring groups internally and third party vendors on a daily basis to execute projects, provide updates, and prepare presentation materials as it relates to live execution of M&A, equity and debt underwriting processes. Generate M&A target ideas and deal structuring ideas for existing clients and socialize those ideas with the internal deal teams and the clients’ management teams at board meetings and on conference calls. 

     

    Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related analytical field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related investment banking role. Prior work experience must include two (2) years of experience with: executing public market debt and equity financing transactions covering the Industrials industry; executing large cap ($1bn+ in size) merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions in the Industrials industry; preparing presentations, marketing materials and offering memoranda using Microsoft Excel and Word for M&A and capital markets transactions; interacting with senior client teams and facilitating team communications with internal groups to execute aspects of investment advisory projects; building and analyzing financial models and analyses including M&A, discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, and leveraged recapitalization; and analyzing company financial statements including for companies that are subject to  GAAP and IFRS accounting rules and policies. Prior work experience must include one (1) year of experience with: training junior members on skills and leading and managing junior team members while interacting with senior bankers and external clients; and managing teams of junior bankers and coordinating with product group experts including credit, leveraged finance, investment grade, derivatives, and equity capital markets. FINRA Series 79 license required. Travel required 5% to 10% to attend client meetings and deal meetings.
