    Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY.

     

    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Multiple positions available. Research market phenomenon in securities and instruments traded on US stock and future exchanges. Research effects of various segmentation methods on off-exchange flows in the context of efficient capital provision to firm clients. Design and implement scalable research frameworks suitable for simulation and analysis of both on-exchange and off-exchange trading activities/strategies. Develop and implement distributed frameworks/methods for analyzing large tick-by-tick or non-structured datasets. Develop and implement visualization software for highly dimensional data. Perform peer review of group research projects/results. Work with other group members to optimize use the Firm’s risk resources and evaluate potential new business activities/opportunities.

     

    Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related computational field, such as Computer Science. One (1) year of experience in the job offered or related position with large independent research projects. Prior work experience must include one (1) year with: Using understanding of statistical inference in the context of imperfect/biased datasets; Using working knowledge of advanced machine learning/statistics techniques such as regressions, neural networks, data clustering, non-linear models, classification algorithms, reinforcement learning and principal component analysis; Developing and maintaining large codebase in an object oriented computer programing language; Working with large datasets using distributed processing tools/methods; Using visualization techniques for highly dimensional datasets; Applying knowledge of equity factor models and US markets microstructure phenomenon. FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
