    Marcus by Goldman Sachs is looking for a scrappy, entrepreneurial, technical and creative tech lead to help build the future of CRM for the consumer division. We are looking for a data analyst to join our growing CRM team focused on building out a CRM tech-stack that supports and maintains a 360-view of customer and enable the seamless orchestration of customer experience throughout the business. As a tech lead for this initiative, you will have the opportunity to work with world class data engineers, define a roadmap for scaling the business, and be part of a team that solves to create a data platform that ultimately empowers people financially. You will be responsible for a critical part of the Marcus’s long-term customer strategy and our mission to keep the customer at the center of everything we do. The ideal candidate is resourceful and detail-oriented with a penchant for moving fast on an agile team, collaborating closely with partners and engineers to develop a data network that powers both personal financial insights for our customers and Marcus business insights. 

    As a tech lead on the CRM team, you will collaborate with a wide range of key stakeholders across the business, Product, Engineering and the Architecture to execute on a comprehensive Marcus CRM technology roadmap. You will have growing ownership and be coached to continually identify ways to hone the development process, propose and prioritize features and functionality seamlessly. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with large data sets, writing specs, partnering closely with Engineering on requirement refinement, managing project execution, and being laser focused on data quality for core services that power our businesses.

    • Dive deep into data and establish feedback loops with Engineering, Product Management, and customer service for deeper understanding and response to customer needs and product behavior
    • Build out of data contracts, data dictionary, data mapping documents and data systems architecture for the CRM ecosystem
    • Own and maintain Customer Data Platform and ensure ongoing data hygiene and usability to support 360-view of customer and best in class customer activations
    • Deep understanding of how data impacts customer strategy and CRM activations, and ensure scalability of data infrastructure to support long term goals
    • Support ongoing enhancements and optimization of CRM ecosystem
    • Troubleshoot data gaps and support business teams in utilizing customer data
    • Keep up to date on innovations in the industry and own and manage data strategy and roadmap to ensure that we surpass industry standards
    • Write user stories using control-driven design principles with detailed acceptance criteria
    • Ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of Customer Data Platform and ensure seamless data flow throughout CRM ecosystem
    • Build consensus with a broad team of internal cross-functional and external stakeholders, ensuring all viewpoints are accounted for and that solutions meet all necessary requirements
    • Collaborate with other internal and external product managers and diverse cross-functional teams to ensure cohesiveness of the overall product experience
    • Co-develop a roadmap with Data Engineering to support scalability
    • Develop an organized roadmap working closely with the product development team and key stakeholders
    • Articulate and define both the technical product requirements and the sequencing of a roadmap down to a single sprint
    • Partner closely with analytics, execute fluidly and measure performance


    • 1-3 years of project or product based experience with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
    • High emotional intelligence, with an innate ability to recognize and understand the emotions and needs of others

    • Aptitude for logically breaking down complex problems and communicating solutions with clarity

    • Proficient in major product management applications (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
    • Proven track record of working with large data sets
    • Willingness to help your team and roll up your sleeves with a positive attitude
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a team-oriented and fast paced environment
    • Organized with a penchant for leading with data-driven rationale
    • Entrepreneurial problem solver and passionate about building solutions


    • 1-2 years of hands-on data product management, 3+ years of large scale technical project management, or 2+ years of data platform development
    • Experience working with enterprise data sets, data transformations and analyzing patterns/trends
    • Ability to perform queries into data sets
    • Comfortable with large amounts of data and ability to understand complex data structures
    • Strong ability to translate business use cases into technical data requirements
    • Familiar with basic CRM activation tactics – email marketing, personalization, segmentation, etc.
    • Familiar with basic CRM metrics – acquisition, retention, churn, RFM, etc.
    • Experience working with Customer Data Platforms – IRE, campaign orchestration, reporting functionality, use cases, etc.
    • Proficient in major analytical tools (e.g., Snowflake SQL queries, Tableau data visualizations) 
    • Experience working with various data sets using SQL, R, or Python
