We are seeking a US West Coast based external wholesaler responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with the sales force representatives of Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s variable annuity (VA) clients. Ideally, this candidate is a strong communicator, effective presenter, self-motivated and well-versed in investment products across all major asset classes, with the ability to manage a territory, strengthen client relationships and cold call successfully.
Consumer and Investment Management (CIMD)
The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.

GSAM’s Retail Insurance Business sits within GSAM Global Insurance Asset Management, one of the four main client segments served by GSAM Americas Client Business. The Retail Insurance Business is responsible for serving clients and driving sales via insurance company platforms and financial intermediaries including variable annuities, BOLI/COLI platforms, investment consultants, financial advisors, retirement recordkeepers, and Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management. The Retail Insurance Business consists of approximately 20 Sales and Client Service professionals based both in NY and around the US responsible for client engagement in support of GSAM’s investment capabilities including Equity, Fixed Income, Alternative, and Customized Asset Allocation solutions. The External Wholesaler would be primarily focused on the variable annuity client base within the Western territory, but also cover other types of clients’ sales teams as needed. Extensive travel is required.
