CONSUMER AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION (CIMD)
The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.
Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) is one of the world’s leading investment managers. GSAM provides institutional and individual investors with investment and advisory solutions, with strategies spanning asset classes, industries, and geographies. We help our clients navigate today’s dynamic markets, and identify the opportunities that shape their portfolios and long-term investment goals. We extend these global capabilities to the world’s leading pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, central banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, individuals and family offices.
The Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS) Group designs and develops comprehensive investment management solutions customized to meet the investment objectives and relevant constraints of the client. In particular, these solutions offer a tailored menu of products and services that apply state-of-the-art techniques to portfolio design and implementation. The group is responsible for both the construction and the implementation of customized and commingled multi-product portfolio structures for large institutional clients (pension funds, financial institutions, endowments and foundations).
The group is looking for a quantitative sales strategist to join the team. Within GPS, you will develop analytics and tools for asset allocation, portfolio construction, trading, risk management and monitoring, as well as generating analytical reports for internal (GPS) and external (clients) use. The developed analytics are made available to strategist and non-strategist members of the GPS team. As such, the tools you may develop need to be robust, accurate and allow scalable, widespread use. Strategist team members will assume responsibility for the developed analytics, and are given ample opportunity to provide creative solutions and develop novel analysis methods and tools. Interactions with other GPS members and clients warrant an ability to communicate clearly about complex financial, business and mathematical concepts.
