    The CRE Warehouse business within the Real Estate Financing Group is looking for a senior Analyst, Associate or junior VP level professional. Position covers full spectrum of first-lien CRE investments, from floating-rate transitional loans intended for CRE CLO securitization, to syndicated construction loans, to fixed rate stabilized loans targeted for CMBS.  The role will involve the sourcing and structuring of a variety of CRE credit facilities (repurchase agreements, term financings, secured loans, hybrid securitizations) as well as related capital markets activities including CRE CLO securitization and syndication of credit agreements to institutional partners.   


    Scope of Role

    • Active client engagement on an ongoing basis including sourcing new opportunities, execution of live deals, credit screening of CRE assets, and managing existing client relationships. The candidate would work closely with colleagues from various internal teams, including but not limited to other parts of the Investment Banking Divisions, Securities Division (Mortgages) professionals, CRM, legal, regulatory compliance, internal diligence teams, etc.
    • Perform due diligence on warehouse counterparties as well as CRE collateral, which includes market research, analytical risk-based modeling, asset credit and valuation work, and assessment of legal, regulatory compliance and other risks. Review and negotiate underlying deal documentation and conduct transaction structuring
    • Marketing and distribution of CRE credit facilities including engaging with institutional investors, coordinating with GS Mortgage sales, and managing rating agency process (if any)


    Required Qualifications

    • 2-6 years of relevant work experience
    • Commercial and analytical with an understanding of financial / capital markets
    • Commercial real estate background and/or structured finance background preferred
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong quantitative and technical abilities
    • Solid work ethic and high level of motivation
    • Ability to drive projects and initiatives – a self-starter
    • Ability to multi-task and work with numerous colleagues and desks across the firm
