    GLOBAL INVESTMENT RESEARCH

    From macroeconomic forecasts to individual stock analysis, our team develops tools and insights to help shape investment strategies for clients and the firm.     RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Help manage the day-to-day operations and administration for the Macro Research group e.g. budgets, T&Es, business planning, space
    • Manage the variable aspects of our budgets to ensure compliance, cost effectiveness and efficiency e.g. market data, travel expenses
    • Develop strategies for delivering on business objectives e.g. building adequate support infrastructure, creating and promoting culture
    • Serve as a partner to key stakeholders in order to execute on core business deliverables and projects e.g. Engineering, Data Strategy, Digital Content Strategy, Content Management Group, Finance
    • Advise senior leadership across Macro Research and Infrastructure on issues related to people
    • Manage and facilitate key people processes including compensation, promotions, 360 performance reviews, quartiling, campus and lateral recruiting, mobility and professional development programming
    • Coordinate evaluation of performance across the Macro Research group e.g. client feedback survey, writing reviews
    • Partner with leadership to manage, mentor, develop and coach our people
    • Manage departmental activities and communications including team events, leadership calls and team offsites 
    • Work closely with key partners across Compliance, Legal and Employee Relations to manage risks
    • Create annual business and budget plans and track key metrics for Global Macro Research
    • Develop management presentations (both internal and external) and write internal and external memos

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Minimum 8-10 years of work experience; work in the financial industry, familiarity with GIR’s work and with people processes a plus
    • Cross-regional collaboration and communication are critical to success in the seat
    • Ability to work independently and directly with senior executives within GIR and across the firm 
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (sample writing will be requested)
    • Strong organizational skills; ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet multiple, competing deadlines 
    • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to retain good judgment and discretion, particularly when placed in demanding situations
    • Highly proactive and productive person who demonstrates initiative and ownership and can work with little direction on complicated, sensitive assignments and issues
