Who We Look For

Goldman Sachs is seeking an experienced Windows engineer to be part of the Windows Engineering team. Candidate should possess at least 5+ years of professional experience with Windows operating systems, PowerShell scripting and a strong understanding of Windows patch management including WSUS, SCCM and other Windows Technologies.. Candidate will be responsible for managing patch deployment, applying configuration changes to harden systems and re-mediating known security vulnerabilities.

The qualified candidate will help ensure the cyber security of Windows systems that are used by every single person in the firm.  The projects and programs that they drive positively impact board level metrics.

 

HOW WILL YOU FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL?

  • Work with a global team of highly motivated platform engineers and software developers
  • Continuously collect and automate data to help identify severity, impact and remediation.
  • Apply configuration changes to remediate vulnerabilities and create deployment patch packages
  • Communicate and automate operational metrics
  • Document standards and procedures.
  • Perform ongoing patch and vulnerability assessment
  • Run Microsoft SUVP program
  • Coordinate cross team patch remediation efforts
  • Coordinate monthly patch activities
  • Analyze patch exception in a dynamic environment across all Windows platforms \ applications
  • Work with external vendors on security vulnerabilities and risk mitigation
  •  

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Deep understanding of Windows OS internals and platform engineering experience
  • Excellent competency with WSUS, SCCM and other Windows security patching technologies
  • Powershell scripting experience to help automate the patch management process
  • Experience and awareness of industry best practices for security vulnerability remediation
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
