Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Multiple positions available. Report performance metrics to leadership of the Investment Banking Division (IBD) on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.  Metrics for reporting include (among others): revenues, meeting velocity, market share and headcount. Develop content, talking points and presentation materials for both internal and external audiences related to divisional strategic initiatives. Prepare detailed budgets and revenue forecasts for business planning and review challenge forecasts related to divisional CCAR projections. Assess client coverage footprint to ensure client targeting efforts are appropriate based on analysis of potential commercial opportunities and Goldman Sachs’ market share relative to competitors. Ensure IBD’s company/client management system is updated with relevant information and ties to divisional reporting metrics. Play integral role in support of marquee client conferences and divisional events, including (but not limited to): strategically targeting client participants, originating content/agenda topics, organizing panel and session prep, and coordinating logistics to ensure smooth event execution. Serve as primary touchpoint on organizing content and speakers for bi-weekly sales team meetings which provide commercial updates, transaction highlights, and training. Serve as IBD point person across a number of cross-divisional projects involving other Divisions, including the Executive Office, Investment Management Division, Human Capital Management, Compliance and Technology.

 

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. The employer will accept a single or combination of degrees, diplomas or professional credentials deemed equivalent by a qualified evaluation agency. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related investment banking position. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Working with investment banking products across M&A and financing; Financial Markets with respect to investment banking’s key trends, competitors, products and regulations; Working with data on league tables, industry market share, and investment banking fees utilizing Dealogic; Financial databases and systems including CapIQ; Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Excel (specifically formula and analytical functions in Excel such as pivot tables, vlookup, filtering, or charts); Redesigning analysis models, as well as driving efficiencies through use of macros; Communicating directly with investment bankers across seniority levels regarding commercial opportunities, client targeting, and client analyses; Facilitating and managing communication flow between various stakeholders and teams, including management; Managing projects and people; Preparing presentation materials and presenting to senior management, often with sensitive and confidential information; and Working in a global organization, with cross-regional as well as cross-divisional projects and reporting.
